Sorry about the delay on the China Missions scenario but I have been unable to get on much the past week and this will continue well into the future. So we will have to have the CM scenario be on a weeknight around 8 or 9pm. I know this may be trouble for some of you but we will work this out. Harpoon 3 will be coming out soon and I was wondering if we should adopt this into the group. I hope you say yes because this game is one for die hard naval sims fan and is a lot fun.

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend. I would like to thank all the members that made the practice on Wednesday and I hope you can make it this Wednesday July 7th to the next meeting. It is at 9:30 est and we will just be practicing and having a good time with fellow team members. I have added a tip page to help members answer any questions that they had.

I would like to thank all the members that made the practice on Wednesday. I will be sending out the e-mail to all the country commanders about what the China Missions are. We will begin the game either this next Saturday or the one after that depending on how many people we get to show up. Another practice will happen on Wednesday June 30th at 9:30pm est.

I would like to apologize to all the members for not updating the web page or the info in sometime. I have been real busy at work and have not had the time to do anything. But I have put in my time and will get up to date on the new members that have joined and all the members that have joined up on the China Missions web page. If you have not alreay got it there is a semi-new patch out that will give the F/A-18 2 Harpoon missles also. You can get it right here JBDB2.zip . So I hope to see all of you at the practice on Wednesday. Also we can talk about anything that you need to get out.

Well I have made it back from my vacation and I'am ready to get this group rolling. We will begin weekly practices on the Wedneday June 23th at 9:30pm est so be in the chat room before that time. Also we still have a few spots left in the China Missions so please fill them up. All members who are going to participate in the China Missions need to go JBStandard 4 Zip file so we will all have the same text files and graphics.

As you can notice the web page has been overhauled bit time. This China Missions web page is up so be the first to sign up so you know you place is locked in the game and you won't have to worry about it for a while. I will be gone from the 4th of June to the 15th of June so Bob will be in charge of the web site. After that the China Missions will start and also weekly practice's will began with me(scott) hosting them. No time is picked yet but I'm pretty sure it is going to be on Wednesday Nights at 9:00 or 9:30 est since that is when a good number of players can make it. If you want to host a weekly practice on the west coast get some people together and I will see if I can make that time too.

Hey guys I need some input. I was wondering if you guys would like to have a practice each week. This would help us get to know each other better and have group unity. So if you would like to join us in a weekly practice send me you input here. Just tell me what times of the week are good for you and I'll send out an email when I get enough info from everyone. Also in the comming months I hope to organize a tourney with a couple of different groups so be on the look out.
5/15/99
All the players have been broken into seperate tasks forces. If there is someone you would like to be in your task force email us and we will take care of it. We will give another week before we place the practice scenario onto the web page. Sorry for this delay but were trying to make it easy :) as possible.

Fleet Command is in stores now!!!! Sorry this was not posted yesterday but I was so busy playing the game that I had no time to update. From what I have see so far this is one of the best stradegy games out. The ships look so life like. Also from what I've seen and heard the big stores(Best Buy, CompUSA, ect.) do not have the game. But smaller stores like EB and Software Etc. have them. The price is $39.99. Well that is it for now. If you have a scenario you would like to be in the download section email it here and I will put it in there. Also the command structure will be getting a makeover as soon as we hammer out the last details. Hope to be playing with all the GPK members soon.
5/6/99
Well we are only a few days away from Fleet Command coming out. We will have a test for you to see what your initial rank will be with the GPK. This will take place a few days after the game has been released so we have time to make up a scenario. Also this will give you a few days to understand how the game controls work. If you have not already done so, make sure you go to Sign Up on Janes Combat Net and sign up your call sign before it is to late. For future reference here is the Main Lobby for Janes Combat Net.
5/2/99
While looking around the internet for things on Fleet Command I stumbled upon this Hangar. This has information on what units will be in the game. Hope it gives you more of an idea on what you will have to work with.

Sorry about the lateness of this news. We held our first meeting on Sunday and we had a very disappointing turnout. Only two members showed up and that was Bob and I. We understand that the game has not come out yet but we would of liked to get some issues out of the way. But we will have to try next month. Also we would like to thank the one member who sent us an e-mail explaining why they were unable to make it. Thank You.
4/23/99
Well the weekend is upon us and we are set for our first meeting. We have added a chat room as part of the web site to use for meetings or general chat. Just follow the meeting room link to enter. The chat server will ask for a login name and password. Please use your handle as login name to keep things simple. I have e mailed all members a reminder for the meeting time and place. A suggestion/question from new member Richard J has resulted in a change to the rules of membership. Members are no longer required to change thier ICQ nickname. My personal ICQ guru (my son), suggested that we simply rename GPK members in our buddy lists. If anyone is unsure how to do that, just drop me an e mail. See the forum page for the complete thread. Please make every effort to attend the meeting as this will not only be a chance to establish a framework for our group but also a "getting to know you" session.

Everything appears to be on track at Jane's for the May 12th release. Membership continues to grow as we continue open recruitment. A few members have not sent in thier preference for handle or changed thier ICQ nickname yet. In fact we have a few members who have yet to get ICQ (hint Shaggy). It looks more and more likely that we will have our first meeting (April 25th at 7:30pm EST) using ICQ chat or IRC. Expect an e mail by Friday with final details. Again, if anyone will be unable to attend the meeting please e mail one of the senior staff. We will provide a transcript of the meeting that will be found on the downloads page.
4/13/99
Welcome to all new members. Please check the members page for an updated roster. There are still a few people who haven't decided on a callsign or given thier ICQ #'s yet. Please e mail Bob or Scott with this information. Yes Shag, that means you will have to download ICQ. Also, if you haven't done so already, please change your ICQ nickname to your handle plus <GPK>, this will make it easier to recognize team mates as membership grows. Some of you may wish to keep your existing ICQ as is, if so then please create a new account to reflect your membership in Global Peacekeepers.

We are nearing completion of our homepage. Scott and Bob are fine tuning a few details of page design and deciding on the best ways to announce the group. We will list with all the major search engines and submit our URL to Janes in the hope of being listed on thier links page. Hopefully we will get a spot at fan site of the week on the main page. Once we are announced, recruitment will begin in earnest.
